Mountain Creek is an established neighborhood nestled in northeast Cobb County near the intersection of Shallowford and Johnson Ferry roads. Built in the early-to-late 1970s, the community has a warmth and character that only comes with time.
At the heart of the neighborhood are four lighted tennis and pickleball courts, a spacious playground, and one of the largest pools in the area. The pool area includes a covered pavilion featuring a fireplace and heaters, making it a true gathering place for residents throughout the year.
The social calendar here is lively and welcoming. Signature events like Fourth of July, Coffee in the Creek, Easter Egg Hunt, and Halloween draw the community together each year, and there is truly something for everyone. ALTA teams for women and men keep competitive tennis and pickleball thriving, while a summer swim team gives children and teens a fantastic seasonal activity.
Everyday conveniences are all close by, including Publix, Kroger, Walmart, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and the Northeast Cobb YMCA, along with a variety of shops and restaurants. Mountain Creek is also part of an excellent school cluster: Tritt Elementary, Hightower Trail Middle, and Pope High School.
